Union Investment is your professional partner for institutional investment products. We currently manage institutional fund assets totalling some 64 billion euros. Our property activities are handled within a dedicated segment.

Union Investment Real Estate AG (formerly DIFA AG) has been active in the institutional real estate business since 1989. Today we manage institutional real estate fund assets of around 2 billion euros. We offer our institutional clients the opportunity to invest in real estate through open-ended retail funds and special funds. We are also exploring new, custom concepts for our clients, including focussed, themed products and international investment vehicles such as FCPs, SICAVs and REITs.

Retail real estate funds

	Established on 1 January 2004, Immo-Invest: Europa was designed specifically for institutional investors wishing to improve the risk/reward ratio of their total assets by including some exposure to property. This fund makes the benefits of real estate as an asset class – steady, predictable returns, low risk and low correlation to equities and bonds – accessible to a wider group of institutional investors
	The fund is managed by Union Investment Real Estate AG. With assets under management of some 13.1 billion euros and a portfolio of about 200 properties in Europe, the Americas and Asia, Union Investment Real Estate is one of Europe’s leading property investment management companies.
	There is a special focus on low risk and generating good returns, making the fund an especially appropriate choice when it comes to structuring the overall risk/opportunity profile of an investment strategy. Around three years after inception, the fund already has a volume in excess of 1 billion euros. Investors who have chosen the fund include banks, pension funds, insurance companies and leading industrial enterprises.
