Established on 1 January 2004, Immo-Invest: Europa was designed specifically for institutional investors wishing to improve the risk/reward ratio of their total assets by including some exposure to property. This fund makes the benefits of real estate as an asset class – steady, predictable returns, low risk and low correlation to equities and bonds – accessible to a wider group of institutional investors
The fund is managed by Union Investment Real Estate GmbH. With assets under management of some 18 billion euros and a portfolio of about 250 properties in Europe, the Americas and Asia, Union Investment Real Estate is one of Europe’s leading property investment management companies.
There is a special focus on low risk and generating good returns, making the fund an especially appropriate choice when it comes to structuring the overall risk/opportunity profile of an investment strategy. Around five years after inception, the fund already has a volume in excess of 1.5 billion euros. Investors who have chosen the fund include banks, pension funds, insurance companies and leading industrial enterprises.
