Gürtelturm was built in 1975 and completely refurbished in 2013. It offers approximately 6,200 sq m of rental space over ten storeys. From its completion up until 2008, the building was used by insurance company Wiener Städtische Versicherung as its Steiermark headquarters, with the insurer being the sole tenant. Today, the main tenants include local charity Jugend am Werk, which helps young people to find work, insurance company Helvetia Versicherungen AG and the Municipality of Graz.
