On the site of the historic Custom House on Clyde Street in Glasgow, a hotel property has been created that integrates the historic building and complements it with a new modern building. The listed Custom House serves as the main entrance for the new Clayton Hotel, which also includes public areas such as the lobby, a bar and meeting and conference rooms. Highlights of the new building include a restaurant and terrace areas on the seventh floor, which offer views of the Clyde River, among other things. The total of 465 hotel rooms are divided between the Clayton Hotel with 303 rooms and the Adagio Aparthotel with 162 rooms. The rooms in the 16-storey Clayton Hotel have an average size of around 25 square metres, the flats in the Adagio Aparthotel have an average size of around 30 square metres.
